Please Appeal Judge's Ruling Overturning Seal Pupping Season Beach Closure


Dear Mayor Faulconer, City Councilmembers and City Attorney, 

I encourage you to file an appeal to Judge Frederick Horn’s ruling overturning the Seal Pupping Season closure of Casa Beach / Children’s Pool from December 15th through May 15th.  This Orange County Judge incorrectly interpreted state and federal law and now the elegant compromise that protects the seals for five months and gives the public beach access for seven months during the summer tourist season is at risk.  Please act to appeal this incorrect ruling and help to restore the seasonal beach closure.
